ABOUT ME

I am currently attending the University of Florida, where I am pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and am on track to graduate in May 2020. Once I become a licensed registered nurse, I hope to work in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. I have always had a passion for the heart, which has only continued to grow once I began nursing school. Eventually, I would like to return to school to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Outside of school, I enjoy archery, running, and playing the guitar and piano.

Thus far, all of my experiences have served as confirmations that nursing is where I have been called. However, if I had still not been sure, my trip to Grenada would have affirmed it without a doubt. I had the opportunity to participate in the College of Nursing Study Abroad program in Grenada. I have always wanted to take part in such a trip, and it was truly one of the best experiences. My desire to help and care for individuals who do not have access to the same level of resources as I do was the ultimate driving factor in my decision to sign up for the program.
